Our Story in Elyria, Ohio
In 2009, a series of significant losses, including the passing of my father, prompted me to reflect on life’s purpose and my own journey. Despite having a job that utilized my skills, there was still an unshakable feeling of emptiness — a longing for creativity and deeper fulfillment.
One day, my roommate, Lynne Hamilton, asked a pivotal question: “What do you really want to do?” I responded, “I’d love to start a business or become a writer.” That conversation planted the seed for a venture that would not only allow us to use our skills but also channel our passion for helping others.
From this spark, the vision for Seeds of Wellness was born—a retail store dedicated to supporting people’s well-being through holistic and metaphysical products and services. We connected with like-minded individuals, such as Sacred Path Candles and psychic/medium Rev. Pat Beers, and began building a community.
After months of planning, location scouting, and preparation, Seeds of Wellness first opened its doors on October 10, 2010, at 33501 Lake Rd, Suite H, in Avon Lake, Ohio. Our store became a sensory sanctuary, offering handmade products, crystals, metaphysical items, CBD products, aromatherapy candles, essential oils, and more.
In 2024, after 14 years of serving the Avon Lake community, we made an exciting move to our new location at 511 Abbe Rd N, Suite G, Elyria, Ohio. On October 1, 2024, we reopened our doors with the same commitment to enhancing your well-being, but in a larger, more accessible space.
As you walk through our new store, you’ll still be greeted by the calming scents of our hand-poured candles, soothing music, and a wide variety of products that help uplift mind, body, and spirit. We continue to offer the same personal experience, with new and expanded services, including crystals, Reiki, psychic readings, CBD products, essential oils, and much more.

Meet Our Team
Lynne Hamilton, LPN
With over 30 years of nursing experience in Ohio, Lynne Hamilton, LPN, recognizes the demand for alternative products to enhance well-being, relieve stress, and promote relaxation.
Upon the establishment of Seeds of Wellness, Lynne discovered the transformative power of Reiki for pain relief, prompting her to become a Reiki Master. Her commitment to this practice deepened, leading her to earn certification as a Reiki teacher in 2019.
Leveraging her extensive background, Lynne actively contributes to the promotion and marketing initiatives of Seeds of Wellness, utilizing her knowledge and experience to enhance the well-being of others.
Brenda Mayo
With over 30 years of experience in creating computer graphics, newsletters, forms, and various marketing materials, Brenda Mayo brings a wealth of skills to Seeds of Wellness. Her professional journey includes retail experience and running a business in Ohio, providing her with a diverse set of knowledge and capabilities.
Brenda’s commitment to holistic well-being led her to become a Reiki Master and teacher alongside Lynne. Together, they offer Reiki sessions to customers, and Brenda actively teaches Reiki classes.
Innovative and intuitive, Brenda has developed animal guide readings and oracle cards to aid individuals in understanding the lessons they encounter for personal growth. Her expertise extends to using sound as a transformative tool, clearing energy, and addressing dis-ease in the energy fields.
Onyx Shadow
Meet Onyx, their delightful mix of Border Collie, Labrador Retriever, and Australian Shepherd. This friendly pup takes joy in welcoming customers each day, with her favorite spot being the rocking chair near the front door. While she expresses her excitement through barking, Onyx is still mastering the art of appropriate greetings.
